The Anniversary Pendant

The crown jewel in the Crown & Pavillion series. With double prongs that wrap around the sides of the medallion, contrasting satin and high polish finishes, and the geometry of a transitional cut round diamond, it's a statement piece with personality.

I created this pendant for my parents' golden anniversary -- they're celebrating 50 years of marriage, and the geometry is based on her wedding ring diamond, magnified and engraved in solid 14k gold. It swings on a handsome knife edge bail, giving it even more presence.

As with all of the other pendants in the Coco Elizabeth line, this one is fully reversible. The reverse side outlines the facet pattern of the pavillion (underside) of the diamond, with its small but visible culet, a nod to the transitional diamond's 1920s origins. These rare cuts only existed in a small window of American diamond cutting, when gem cutters were improving on the older European cut but hadn't yet arrived at a modern brilliant. It's a romantic, charming shape, and we're so lucky to have one in the family, passed down from generations on my father's side.
